Driver experiences are currently available on DEMU 1133, Diesel locomotive 73140 and Class 73 ‘73140’ + CIG ‘1497’ in Full Push-Pull Mode. DEMU experiences usually take place on Saturdays or Sundays when we are not operating. NEW! Exclusive to the Lavender Line we are now able to offer driver experiences for our class 73 in full push-pull mode with 3-CIG 1497. For more details please click on the link below.

All driver experiences include a certificate, key ring and one year's membership of the Lavender Line Preservation Society. Please be aware that these are experiences and do not constitute formal training. Use the button below for more details.

All driver experiences are for adults and are subject to an assessment of your suitability. Friends and family are permitted to ride the train while you are doing your experience, large groups will have an additional cost. Catering can also be provided - please ask for a quote.
