Riley's Miniature Railway is a not for profit, fun, miniature railway found on platform 2 of Isfield Station and is open on Lavender Line open days.
Just like the Lavender Line, the little railway is operated entirely by volunteers.
We give rides to both children and adults alike, with the trains hauled by miniature steam or battery electric locomotives.
We are one of the few, ground level, 5 inch gauge railway's open to the public in the UK. As such, it is considered to be the smallest practical ride on track gauge.
The train fare is very reasonable at £1 per ride for children and adults alike. A loyalty card is available for our regular visitors as well as an All Day Rover ticket offering unlimited rides on the date of travel. Cash and card payments accepted.
Riley’s Miniature Railway is named after the founder’s grandson who was born at the Evelina Children’s Hospital in London in 2010 due to complications.
As such at the beginning of each year a donation collected from fares is sent to the hospital which is part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
