Can control and be controlled by any BR Blue Star fitted Locos and all Multiple Units fitted with 27 way system. Used on Passenger (eg Bournemouth Line expresses, Gatwick Express for a short Period), Freight (such as Drayton Gravel and Beeding Cement Coal trains), Infrastructure trains. Was selected for Preservation as was latterly a Weekend only use Loco and thus with Limited Wear. One of the Most useful and Versatile Loco Designs ever Built by British Rail evidenced by the Numbers still in Use on the Mainline and Preserved. |
